The brief
A national combat sports brand that had outgrown its own website.
Fight Network is one of Canada’s most recognized combat sports media brands. The existing site had aged out of what the network actually needed — it couldn’t handle the volume of video and streaming content, and it wasn’t built to scale. The brief expanded into something bigger: a full site redesign plus a fighter and event database, positioning Fight Network as the definitive source for combat sports knowledge in Canada. I was the sole designer on the project, handling UI, UX, and art direction from concept through to launch. The site shipped. The database was a different story — the ambition was right, but keeping it current at that scale proved harder than anticipated. That’s the kind of honest complexity that comes with building something this size.
